CGI scripts

CGI scripts are permitted subject to vetting by IT Services but certain restrictions do apply.

The use of unauthorised scripts may result in affected pages being suspended or removed from the Hantsweb Server without notice.

The Common Gateway Interface (CGI) is a standard way for a web server to pass a user's request to an application program. When a user fills out a form on a web page and submits the information it usually needs to be processed by an application program. The web server typically passes the form information to a small application program that processes the data and sends back a confirmation message.

If you have any queries regarding CGI scripts please contact the Hantsweb Support Team on 01962 845679.
