Corporate web standards and good practice
These pages are for anyone planning, writing or maintaining Hantsweb pages, whether from a managerial or technical viewpoint. They explain both the minimum standards that must be followed as well as good practice that can enhance your web pages. All Hampshire County Council departments, business units and collaborative projects where Hampshire County Council is the major funder must follow these standards.
Note: Hosted websites are encouraged to follow the usability and accessibility principles outlined in the following guidance, but they must not attempt to mimic the style/branding of Hantsweb.
- Thinking About Creating Web Pages? - Advice on planning your web pages.
- Corporate web standards- Standards you must follow.
- How to guide. A step by step guide on how to follow the standards using FrontPage.
- Good Practice- Other things you can do to improve your pages.
- Technical Guidelines- guidance for Hampshire County Council departments and other organisations that wish to publish their own pages.
If you have any comments or questions about Corporate web standards we want to hear from you.
The County Council's Corporate Communications Team maintains a range of guidance for staff on all forms of communication.
