Chapel of the Royal Victoria Hospital. Large building once at centre (and rear) of enormously long military hospital facing Southampton Water. Hospital demolished and restored Chapel contain exhibition and viewing tower in centre of Country Park. Classical treatment of simple rectangle, with tower on south west end. Sides eight bays divided by pilasters. Tower is massive. Upper treatment is octagonal pavillion of open arches, now glazed, with keystone, architraves, pilasters and entablatures on brackets.
