Nos. 41 and 43. Built in 1899 for the families of waterworks company employees. Two storey brick built with bands of darker brickwork at the sides. Roof of flat tiles, gabled, with twin front gables and ornate barge-boards. Chimney on centre roof ridge has ornate brickwork. Casement windows with glazing bars, each house having one window on first floor and one on ground floor, the upper windows surmounted by a flat brick arch with keystone. Ornamental roof and ridge tiles, gable fronts tile-hung with courses of plain and fish-scale tiles. Water company's plaque on gable. Modern doors. | SU 679 053 2704 25 |
