| Site of Special Scientific Interest |
Part of the Eling and Bury Marshes lies to the south west of the parish. This is an area of salt marshes and associated mudflats, an important roosting and feeding area for waders in the Southampton Water. Bury Marsh, being ungrazed, supports a mixed plant community and is, probably, the only remaining natural locality in Britain for the American smooth cord-grass. | S.S.S.I. |
