The Norman west doorway of the former mediaeval church demolished in 1840, rebuilt to form an entrance gateway to the churchyard, which is approached by a series of steps. The semi-circular arch has three recessed stages, the innermost plain and the outer two resting on cushion caps above columns. Continuous impost band and chevron ornament to the two other stages.
