| Building (Site) |
West of Eastney Farm. Excavated 1897-1906 and comprising large circular stone structure, perhaps a temple or mausoleum, enclosed by flint and rubble wall. Excavations in 1978, 79, 80, have shown a pre-Roman temple underlying the Roman temple. Finds include coins fo Claudius, Vespasian, Hadrian etc., roof tiles, bronze bangle and bracelet, pottery, knife, stilus, and coloured plaster. A number of finds in Portsmouth Museum. O.S.A.
