Amery Hill School. Formerly Eggar's Grammar School, founded in 1642 by John Eggar whose initials, in iron, are in the left hand gable. 2 storeys plus attic, three bays wide. Red brick, tiled roof with central stack of four chimneys. Ground floor with central ledged oak door, with original knocker, in heavy moulded oak frame within later porch flanked on either side by two 5-light, mullioned and transomed casement windows. Moulded band at first floor level. Mullioned first floor and attic windows. A plain band at foot of gables is carried down over windows to form a drip mould.
