C.19		 St. Cross Mill. 3-storey. Red brick with slate roof. Casement windows. Cast iron undershot wheel. No mill stones remain. Belonged at one time to St. Gross Hospital and was used to produce flour for the Brothers. Ref: Gazetteer of Water, Wind and Tide Mills of Hampshire, (Ellis), p.138.     C.A.

C.20		 Music School of Winchester College. Built 1903/4. Flint with stone dressings. First and second floors partly stone faced. 2 and 3 storeys, bands and pilasters of stone. Conical slate roof with cupola over part, and varied pediments. Mullioned lattice windows. Interesting interior.     T. & C.P. Act

 Peninsular Barracks. Built circa 1900, on site of unfinished palace designed by Sir C. Wren for Charles I I. Later destroyed by fire. Present layout bears no relation to original plan.     C.A.

C.20		 West Block. Peninsular Barracks. 4 storeys. Brick with stone quoins, plinth, inoulded string courses, cornice and blocking course. Central feature of engaged composite columns and entablature, 3 storeys high. Panelled pilasters on fourth floor and pediment The whole of stone and three bays wide. Flanked by two open porticos, 3 storeys high and one bay wide. Coat of arms in centre of pediment. Windows with stone surrounds . Slate roof.     T. & C.P. Act
