C.18		 No. 3. Minster House. 2 storeys and attic. Red brick with blue headers. Modillion eaves cornice. Hipped, tiled roof with four flat-roofed dormers. Central door with fanlight, Tuscan columns and open moulded pediment. Sash windows with glazing bars. Brick chimney with moulded cap. A private bank in 1787.     T. & C.P. Act

Gas Lamp
 Opposite Minster House. Rare example of J. and E. Webb's patent sewage gas destructor. The flame which burns continuously, not only provides illumination but also burns off any gases rising from the sewer to which the lamp is connected. Now converted to use natural gas.     C.A.
