City Wall
C.13		 Part of city, palace, and castle wall running east from Priory Gate to angle near Wharf Mill. and north above Magdalen Hospital. Walls fragmentary, but traceable throughout their length. Repaired in C.14 and C.15. Limestone rubble. South east corner of full height complete with battlements. Walls shared by the city, Wolvesey Palace, Cathedral Close and Wolvesey Castle. C.19		 Nos. 2-8 (even). Two pairs of rendered and painted houses. 2 storeys with attics. Slate gabled roofs with red ridge tiles. Rusticated quoins on ground floor., plain blocks above. Bay windows and porches with pilaster decoration. Cornice with corbels.     SU 476 290
