House
C.19		 St. Giles' House. Formerly known as Coytbury. Designed for his own occupation by Thomas Stephen (the younger), 1843-1926. The designer of many prominent buildings in the city and five times mayor. Mainly 2 storeys. Red brick with stone string course. Bay window. Tiled roof with flemish gables. High brick chimneys. Octagonal stone belvedere tower, 3 storeys high at northwest corner to provide views to southwest and north.     SU 488 293

C.19		 Cul-de-sac of brick houses with slate roofs. Front elevations little altered since they were built. Road possesses a unique character.     SU 489 295

C.12		 St. John the Baptist. Flint and stone with tiled roofs. Nave and aisles, giving a view of 3 gables to the street. Fine castellated square tower. All windows C.15, except south-east window which has geometrical tracery of C.13. South porch of brick with stone bands. Fine C.13 wall paintings.
