South of Cove Road. Believed to be the site of Cove Village until the Black Death. Pottery sherds and possible sites of six crude cottages discovered during earthmoving works. Now public playing fields.     SU 855 557

St. Peters Junior School. Entered by steps and leads to well. Other tunnels located in the vicinity, St. Peters School/Farnborough Parish Church. Part of a tunnel from the crypt has been partially cleared.     C.A.

Moor
Jack Goddard's Moor, Cove Common. Area was known as a highway man's hideout, being difficult land to negotiate. John Goddard mentioned as having cut peat from the common 1750-1800. Cove Common purchased by the government in 1857 for military purposes, thus limiting these practices. Ref: Cove Old and New, (Watson and Callingham).     SU 848 537
