Greywell Tunnel, Basingstoke Canal. Runs for 1230 yds from close to the Old Wharf House at the eastern end, to Butter Wood at the western end. Eastern portal repaired in 1976 to original design. Western end in poor condition, portal collapsed 1960. | C.A. |

Greywell Hill. Purchased by General Sir William Carleton, created Baron Dorchester and first Governor General of Canada in 1785.
