Portsdown Hill. Obelisk of Portland stone on granite base. The base has four large acroteria of anthemium shape at its angles. The obelisk is inset within the base. Centre of south front recessed. Segmental, headed cap at apex of the obelisk containing a small bust of Lord Nelson. Erected about 1814. Inscription in base.
